You know what you should do when you plan your wedding? Plan for it to be outside in the DAY TIME! Please! Do you know why, because it’s so awesome to shoot in natural light and it will show in your photographs. In this particular case it also helps that Randhir and Yasmine are awesome. I met Randhir  several months ago. He called me and told me I had to be their wedding photographer so we met up at the Marriott to discuss the wedding. We actually spent most of the time talking about life and politics over a beer, but we did spend 5 or 6 minutes on the wedding too ;-) Randhir and Yasmine treated me like a true friend from the outset. They invited me to a small party with their friends who had arrived in Cairo for the wedding in the days before the wedding. The two met while working for the UN in sub-Saharan Africa. Randhir himself is from Sri Lanka. The wedding party was a cool mix of people from just about everywhere. I always want to thank Amr Hosny for doing a fantastic job keeping the party going and my assistants Remon Michael and Ahmed Soliman for all their help throughout the night. I’d also like the tailor at the Fairmont for sowing the background for the photobooth to the stands so that it could withstand the crazy wind on the rooftop.

Over the past few months we’ve been offering clients something a little different as an add-on to their wedding photography package; photobooths. Basically we set up a mini studio outside your wedding venue, bring a lot of props and have a photographer there all night taking some hilarious and memorable photos of you, your family and your friends. Here’s some examples of photobooths we’ve done in May.

This was a really fun shoot I got to do with Joseph and Marina before their wedding. I’ve known them since last year when I photographed their engagement. It was a fun night and it was great meeting their family who danced the whole night making it a great and energetic party. When we started talking about their wedding and wedding photos I suggested doing a shoot at the train yard by Ramses Station where they fix old trains and they both immediately loved the idea. The first several images are from that shoot. The second part was shot at the Aquarium Park in Zamalek. Stay tuned for their wedding photos. It was an amazing party!
