Aya and Medhat Day After Beach Session at the Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh | Egypt Wedding Photographer

Like I mentioned in my last post the day after Aya and Medhat’s wedding we decided to do a special session for just the two of them on the beautiful grounds of the Hyatt Regency in Sharm El Sheikh. At the far end of the hotel there is an isolated beach that almost no one visits that proved to be the perfect location for a private session for the two of them. These are honestly some of my favorite couple photos I’ve ever taken and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. As always I love hearing your comments so please do share them. Thanks so much.

Omar and Katherine are a really great couple based out in DC who came to Cairo to get married and have Omar’s family in attendance. Katherine’s family is from Nebraska and they’ll be having a second wedding out there shortly with all of them as well. A week before the wedding we headed downtown together to get some shots of the two of them together before the craziness of the days before the wedding overwhelmed them and their schedule. We checked out Talaat Harb and walked over by the Townhouse cultural center to get some shits. Then we rode a felucca together on the nile to get away from the crowds and finally we found ourselves in Ganaynat al Asmak in Zamalek to get in a few last shots in the relaxing atmosphere of the park. Working with Omar and Katherine was a pleasure and their wedding on New Year’s day at Katameya Heights was a blast.

So Deepak called me while I was home in the states with a plan. He and his then-girlfriend were planning a trip to Egypt and he wanted to surprise her and pop the question and he asked me to be there to capture the moment. Rada thought they were just going for a shoot at the Pyramids and had no idea what was about to happen (you can tell from the look on her face below). We arrived at the pyramids and discovered they had changed the schedule and were closing early so once again I was on a camel (then a horse) following a couple around the back fence with cameras hanging off me to get shots of them with the pyramids at particularly special moment in their lives. A few days ago I got to shoot an engagement session of Ahmed and Dalia who will be getting married in a couple of weeks. Ahmed insisted that he wasn’t photogenic, but I think these shots prove otherwise. We had a lot of fun experimenting and getting lost at the Citadel. Ahmed and Dalia were great to work with and very easy going as we got lost about 5 million times that day. Towards the end of our visit the Citadel was invaded by literally hundreds of schoolchildren who kept saying to us a broken “aloooo” and staring at us as we worked in curiosity. This was my first shoot with my new 45mm Tilt Shift Lens. Look for the shots where the top and bottom of the picture are blurred to see the special results that come out of this fantastic piece of glass. After the Citadel we made our way to one of my favorite spots to shoot, Aquarium Park (Ganaynat al Asmak) in Zamalek. As always I love to hear your comments and what you think of the shoot. This was a really fun shoot I got to do with Joseph and Marina before their wedding. I’ve known them since last year when I photographed their engagement. It was a fun night and it was great meeting their family who danced the whole night making it a great and energetic party. When we started talking about their wedding and wedding photos I suggested doing a shoot at the train yard by Ramses Station where they fix old trains and they both immediately loved the idea. The first several images are from that shoot. The second part was shot at the Aquarium Park in Zamalek. Stay tuned for their wedding photos. It was an amazing party!

“It’s prohibited to sit on the greenery!” Oh well…

Egypt Wedding Photographer | Atiaf and Ben’s Engagement Session | Timothy E Kaldas Photography

From the first time I met Ben and Atiaf I knew this was going to be a great couple to work with. They had amazing chemistry, were really laid back and got along beautifully. They also really trusted me to get the right shots and even allowed me to convince them to meet me at 8:30 in the morning at Talaat Harb on a Friday morning to start this shoot. Our goal was to get shots in the middle of one of Cairo’s busiest streets when it was completely empty. After shooting on Talaat Harb and around there for a bit we moved over to Zamalek’s Aquarium Park (Ganaynat al Asmak). Ben is from France and Atiaf is Yemeni and the wedding conducted a few days after this shoot was a crazy but incredibly fun party. Keep your eyes open for those pictures in the coming weeks. Egypt Wedding Photographer | Adam and Dalia in Ain Sukhna

I had a great time doing this shoot on the beach in Ain Sukhna. We almost ran out of gas on the way there but managed to make it and found some gas in the closet in the house (too lucky). When my dad heard Sukhna had become a vacation spot he was stunned in disbelief. For him it was where the military stationed him to man a radar during the 73 war. Now, for his son, it’s a romantic venue to conduct a photoshoot for my soon-to-be married clients Adam and Dalia. Here are the shots. I’m really looking forward to the wedding in a couple 0f weeks.

Karim and Dina Trash the Dress in Sahel!

Last weekend I went up to Sahel with Karim and Dina to do a couple shoot on the beach. Karim’s sister loaned Dina her old wedding dress and we finally got to do a shoot I’ve been dying to do in Egypt: Trash the Dress! We started the day with a normal couple shoot and then had Karim and Dina change into something a bit less comfortable before throwing them both wearing a suit and wedding gown into the sea and a swimming pool. It was a great day and we all had a lot of fun. I want to thank Dina’s parents for being great hosts. It was wonderful meeting the family. Watch out for Karim and Dina’s wedding pics this fall.
